  • Title: "Strengthening “theory-methods-data” linkages in AMJ"
  • Abstract: The Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) recently began accepting methodological manuscripts. In this talk, Professor Bliese will give an overview of the vision for AMJ methods articles and detail how such articles differ from the typical methods article. The talk is designed to be interactive so participants are invited to bring ideas about potential papers for discussions about whether the topic is likely to a good fit for AMJ and, if so, how best to frame the submission. In the second part of the talk, Professor Bliese will discuss several methodological areas that he, the editor-in-chief (Marc Gruber), and the team of methods Associated Editors (Trevis Certo, Anne Smith, and Mo Wang) have identified as having the potential to further strengthen the “theory-methods-data” linkages at AMJ.
